I believe change is possible.
Hi, I’m Lacey.
I don’t see you as broken or needing fixing. I see you as human.
I have always carried a sense that something was wrong. Was I wrong? Were my relationships wrong? Why does everything feel so off? That feeling sent me down a long path of seeking — from spiritual communities to therapy modalities to every "healing" space I could find. And what I found, over and over again, was the same message reinforced: yes, there is something wrong with you.
It wasn't until I learned about antagonistic personalities, childhood dynamics, and the development of the self that I finally understood what all those feelings were actually about. I was never the problem. And neither are you.
My path to becoming a therapist was not a straight one. I had spent 10 years as a yoga therapist and had just closed that chapter — deliberately, and without any intention of returning to a helping profession. But eventually something in me relented. I am glad it did. It has given me the opportunity to offer others what I spent so many years looking for myself.
I have been a client of many therapists throughout my life, and I will be the first to say not all therapists are created equal. I have had disengaged therapists, distracted therapists, therapists who listen and nod, therapists who give inappropriate advice, therapists who turn the session into something about them. I have even had a therapist gaslight me into believing I was the problem in an abusive dynamic I was involved in. I know what it feels like to leave a session feeling worse than when you arrived — or to spend years in therapy without ever feeling like anything actually shifted.
My specialized training all serves one purpose: to show up for you in a way that actually helps. I take that seriously. And I have learned just as much from my own experiences as a client as I have from any training room.
I deeply believe that we are all born whole and worthy of love, dignity, and respect. Life can lead us to forget that. It is my hope that this work offers you a path back — to the home within yourself that has been there all along.
